The Uzbekistan Airways National Airline is the flag carrier of the Republic of Uzbekistan that meets the demand of the national economy and population for air transportation services (cargo, passenger and special aviation tasks).
Uzbekistan Airways was established by the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, on 28 January 1992 and, as a state administrative body for civil aviation, it develops, coordinates and implements the air transportation policies on the territory of UzbekistaThe principal functions of the company include providing high quality services on local and international flights, research and introduction of new developments and technologies in aviation. The airline regularly flies to over 40 cities of the world in Europe and Asia, the US and Japan. It has its representative offices in 25 countries of the world.
Uzbekistan Airways’ fleet consists of Boeing 757 and 767, Airbus 320, locally made Ilyushin-114-100 and Airbus 300-600 cargo aircraft. To maintain professional qualification, competence and skills of its pilots, the airline runs its own Training Centre which has modern procedural training machines for B757/767, A320 and the unique IL-114-100 full-flight simulator.
